Working Principle
The mechanism of a solar vacuum tube is simple. The tubes are directly plugged into the manifold tank, and as the sun's rays heat the cold water in the tubes, the hotter water naturally rises to the manifold tank due to the difference in specific gravity. In turn, the colder water automatically flows down to the glass vacuum tubes. This constant movement ensures that the cold water in the manifold tank is gradually heated.
In an active open-loop solar system, the hotter water in the manifold is pumped into a hot water storage tank, while the colder tank water is circulated back to the manifold collector for solar heating. This continuous circulation guarantees that the cold water in the system is always being heated, while the hot water is stored for later use.
